Department Of Corrections - Tuba City Adult Correctional Facility

Tuba City Adult Corrections (TCDOC) is in Tuba City, Arizona within the Navajo Nation reservation, located 65 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, Coconino County. The facility is a 132 bed, short term facility, with 18 hours or 36 hours hold to inmates that require rehabilitation, or longer court ordered hold for those awaiting sentencing or trial.

TCDOC staffs a total of 35 employees (includes support staff, a Lieutenant, Corrections Sergeants, and Corrections Officers, and Corrections Officer Trainee), with multiple vacancies for Corrections Officers positions. Visitation Guidelines:

Visitation days are on Saturdays & Sundays
Visitation hours are from 9AM – 12PM (MST/DST) and 5PM – 8PM (MST/DST)
Walk-In visitations are prohibited due to inmate behavior and visitation policy; therefore, you must call the Central Command during regular business hours Monday - Friday, 8AM to 5PM (MST/DST) to schedule an appointment to visit and/or inquire further information.
Must be 18 years of age and older
Must not be victims of a Domestic Violence Charge
Must not have a Temporary or Active Restraining/Protection Order

Juvenile Services - Tuba City Juvenile Detention Center

Tuba City Juvenile Detention Center (TCJDC) is in Tuba City, Arizona, within the Navajo Nation reservation, located 65 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, Coconino County. The Juvenile Detention Center is a 32-bed temporary or short-term residential facility for young people who are handled through the Navajo Nation Judicial Court system.

TCJDC staff a total of 13 employees (includes Corrections Sergeants, Corrections Officers and support staff) with several vacancies for Corrections Officers positions. The primary focus is on rehabilitation and education, with resources from local programs to provide educational and self-help information to provide hope to change the mindset from living a life of crime.

IMPORTANT NOTE: TCJDC is currently closed due to upgrades and renovations. The Detention Center will re-open when project is complete and has been cleared from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. An update will be provided when a date has been set to resume business. All court ordered juveniles are currently residing and transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center in Crownpoint, Arizona.
